However, there are some great dive sites around the UK coastline and popular locations include Portland in Dorset, The Scilly Isles, The Farne Islands and St. Kilda. EuropeDiving in Turkey is a relatively new activity and offers great value for money. Dives take place in a number of rocky coves and offer a mixture of wildlife-watching, scenic and historical interest. Artefacts from ancient civilisations can be seen on almost every dive. Gozo is a beautiful island, still mostly unspoilt by tourism and is one of the top diving destinations in the Mediterranean. It offers warm crystal clear water and an abundance of marine life making it a diving photographer’s dream. Both Turkey and Gozo are suitable for all standards of diver from beginner to experienced. And BeyondIndonesia's dive sites are considered to be among the best in the world. Nearly a quarter of the world’s reefs are found here and there are over 3,500 species living on them. Common destinations to visit for diving are Bali, Lombok and Sulawesi. Sulawesi on the northern side of Indonesia is home to some beautiful coral reefs. Bali is a good choice if you want to combine a diving holiday with exploring inland as well. Grenada is a beautiful Caribbean island with prolific marine life and many wrecks which distinguish the island as a world class dive destination. Tobago lies a short distance from Grenada and with a combination of fine coral reefs and a wonderful variety of species which includes a sharks and rays is justifiably popular with divers the world over. The island is more affordable than many Caribbean islands.
