...a natural year-round playground.
We first visited Whistler for a ski holiday in the early 1990's and have been back many times since in both winter and summer. The resort has grown and changed a great deal over the years but still manages to retain its appeal. Whistler lies two hours north of Vancouver, along the breathtaking Sea to Sky Highway in the Coastal Mountain range of British Columbia in Canada. It's a thriving town of about 10,000 permanent residents but the population can swell to over 40,000 during peak months. Whistler is Canada's premier, year-round destination and will be the mountain host of the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. A perfect choice for an activity holiday.
