The weekend involves tuition in digital photography from complete novice to advanced levels. You get to learn how your camera works, and how to take better pictures whilst enjoying a true gastronomic weekend in rural France.

   

"After arrival on Friday, late afternoon, guests are settled into the Chambre d'Hote at the end of the lane before meeting fellow guests at  around 7.00pm for "aperos" and introductions and sitting down to a four course dinner with wines. Saturday morning - not too early - sees the group in the mediaeval city of Niort to photograph the covered market, and all the hustle and bustle of Saturday morning in France. Next is lunch at a small restaurant, serving very good food and hidden away in the Venise Verte that surrounds Niort . In the afternoon there is an introduction to Photoshop and some fun working on the pictures taken in the morning. We have computers at the base, but bring a laptop if you have one. Late afternoon often includes a siesta back at the Chambre d'Hote before more great food in the evening - yes, another four course dinner with wines. Have a look at the Menu on www.camerahols.com. Sunday is spent in a similar way, except that we will have lunch at a traditional Ferme/Auberge in the heart of the country. Monday morning see farewells and tying up loose ends. If you're waiting for a late afternoon flight, we'll provide a light lunch.

The price includes all tuition and use of computers and software,aperitives, a four course dinner with wines on 3 nights, your accommodation with breakfast, transport to and from locations. There is a supplement of 75€ for return transit from La Rochelle airport. However if you plan to come by train we could collect you from Niort for the same supplement.  A car is a good option - either come by ferry or hire at the airport - and parking is no problem.
